Building a registered, performance-minded Katahdin flock in Maine.
Old Forest Farm is building toward a registered Katahdin flock selected for grass-based performance, maternal strength, parasite resilience, and sound structure. We are early in that process, and we intend to move carefully.
We are early in that process. Our long-term goal is to sell registered Katahdin breeding stock and enroll in NSIP when our flock, lamb crop, and recordkeeping are ready to make that step meaningful. That will take time. We would rather build slowly and correctly than sell animals under a standard we have not earned yet.
